Cooper Inn Awarded
Historic Hotels of America Distinction
The National Trust for Historic
Preservation has recently announced that The Cooper
Inn of Cooperstown, NY, in affiliation with its sister
property, The Otesaga Resort Hotel, has been named
to the Historic Hotels of America (HHA). John D. Irvin,
General Manager of both The Cooper Inn and The Otesaga
said “The Cooper Inn has faithfully
retained its historic integrity, architecture and ambiance
because of the dedication of its owners, the Clark family.
We are all very proud of this new honor for the property.”
National Trust Historic Hotels
of America is a program of the National Trust for Historic
Preservation. HHA has identified 210 quality hotels
that have faithfully maintained their historic architecture
and ambiance. To be selected for this program, a hotel
must be at least 50 years old, listed in or eligible
for the National Register of Historic Places or recognized
locally as having historic significance. |
