Where in New York State is The Cooper Inn located?
The Cooper Inn is located in the Village of Cooperstown, 70 miles west of Albany, 97 miles southeast of Syracuse, and a scenic four-hour drive north of New York City.

Where is the nearest commercial/private airport?
The Albany International Airport is located 1.5 hours east of Cooperstown, and the Syracuse Airport is 2 hours west. Private planes may also use the Oneonta Airport with a runway of 4,200 feet located 20 miles from The Inn or the Oneida County Airport in Utica which is 1 hour north.

Is public transportation available in Cooperstown?
A trolley runs among the Village attractions during the summer months and on weekends in the spring and fall.

On what lake is The Cooper Inn near?
Beautiful Lake Otsego, approximately 9 miles long and 1 mile wide.

How many rooms does The Cooper Inn have?
The Cooper Inn has 15 guest rooms, each with cable television and HBO, telephone with voice mail, free wireless high-speed Internet access, heating and air conditioning.

Do you have handicap accessible rooms?
We have seven rooms that are handicap accessible at The Otesaga.

What outdoor activities are available at The Cooper Inn?
During the season, the Cooper Inn, through its affiliation with The Otesaga Resort Hotel, offers the challenge of golf on the championship Leatherstocking Golf Course and golf instruction and practice at The Leatherstocking Golf School and Driving Range. Guests can swim in The Hotel’s heated outdoor pool or in Lake Otsego and play tennis at The Hotel’s outdoor tennis courts. Canoe rentals are available for enjoyment on the clear waters of Lake Otsego. The lake is also one of the finest deep water fisheries in Central New York, habitat for lake salmon, trout and small and large mouth bass. During the appropriate season fishing and hunting guides can assist you. Group skeet shooting can also be organized.

The Cooper Inn is located within easy walking distance, approximately 2 blocks, from The Otesaga Resort Hotel.

Is there a dress code required for meals?
Gentlemen dining in the Main Dining Room of The Otesaga Resort Hotel for dinner are required to wear jackets (ties optional). Boys age 12 and older should wear a jacket (under age 12 - nice pants and shirt). No shorts, jeans or sneakers. The dress for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Hawkeye Grill is resort casual.

Are children permitted at The Cooper Inn?
Children and families are always welcome at The Cooper Inn.

Are pets permitted at The Cooper Inn?
For the comfort of all of our guests, pets are not permitted. We are happy to recommend local kennels that are available for pet boarding.

What time is Check-Out and Check-In?
Check-out time is 12:00PM, check-in time is 3:00PM.

Are you a non-smoking facility?
Yes, The Cooper Inn is a completely non-smoking facility.

Do you offer government, corporate, AARP, extended Stay, etc. rates or discounts?
No

Do you have travel agent commissions?
10% commissions are paid to authorized Travel Agents.

Does The Cooper Inn have an exercise facility?
Guests of The Cooper Inn may use the state-of-the-art fitness center located off the Lower Lobby of The Otesaga Resort Hotel. We can also recommend additional spa facilities in the Cooperstown area, as well as our guests' having use of The Clark Sports Center, for a nominal fee.

What is the name of The Otesaga's golf course?
The Otesaga’s Leatherstocking Golf Course, designed and built in 1909 by Devereux Emmet, recently received the second highest overall rating for public courses in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut by the Zagat Survey and earned 4-1/2 stars from Golf Digest. Cooper Inn guests receive a $10 discount on greens fees when they play The Leatherstocking. Tee times may be made by calling (800) 348-6222.

Can the public play The Leatherstocking Golf Course?
Yes, the public is welcome to play The Leatherstocking Golf Course named one of the ten best public courses in the state by Golfweek. Public players can make tee times six (6) days in advance.

Are golf carts required?
Golf carts are not required during the week, but they are required on weekends and holidays prior to 2:00PM.

How far is The Cooper Inn from The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum?
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is located within easy walking distance, approximately 2 blocks. The Hall of Fame is open 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (May to September) and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (October to April).
